By car the easiest way is to follow the E40 until you see a sign for Brugge (exit 8). You stay on the N31 until you see a sign for Brugge (center). You're on the N351/Bevrijdingslaan now. At the third lights you turn left onto the ringroad (R30) up to Ezelpoort ( one of the old entrance gates into the center over the water). The hotel is on the right side of the road.

Bruges is situated near the E19. Ghent is at 30 minutes by car, Brussels and Antwerp at 1 hour.

 

On our side of the street there is a parkinglimit of 4 hours (from 9am to 7pm). It's best to park the car on the other side of the street where you can leave the car as long as you want for free.

New rail connection between Lille and Bruges

 

If you come by train you can take bus nr. 3 or 13. Due to trafficworks until April 2011 you have to get off at busstop Komvest and walk the last bit. Bus 41 and 42 are  less frequent (every half hour) but stop at Ezelpoort which is closer to the hotel.

  Zeebrugge is Bruges' port.  The village is situated at 10 miles from the centre of Bruges.

  Bruges is now easily accessible from the French ferry ports by motorway (E17/A17). Distance : approx. 75 miles, 90 minute drive. From Dover many companies offer a daily service to Calais.

  Dunkerque is situated at approx. 50 miles,  a 60 minute drive from Bruges.

By plane :

•  Brussels airport (Zaventem)
  Brussels is an important hub in international air traffic. Bruges is within easy reach (approximately 1 hour). By road: E40 highway to Ostend /By train: regular trains (every half hour) between the airport and the railway stations of Brussels North or Brussels Central, from there several trains per hour to Bruges.
